this place is for bikes
Today I finally fixed my bike. On my other blog, the one that a few people know about, (no one in my life knows about this one), I made a list a while ago of things that I wanted to do. On that list was something about fixing my bike.
It had this really hard seat that was very hurty so I changed the seat. With TOOLS! I am handy. Then I walked it a mile and a half to the bike store and used their pump to put air in it. Then I also bought a new helmet. At first I thought the helmet looked dorky (I know it doesn’t matter how it looks) but by the time I rode home I felt like me and my new helmet were old friends. I kept it on when I went inside and looked in the mirror and thought it was actually kind of cute, as far as helmets go.
It is black with subtle gold flower graphics that look a little bit like the graphics that everyone does now (urban outfitters, etc.).
The question is…will I ride my bike to work tomorrow? Not sure. I am afraid of the impatient Monday through Friday morning commuters.
But today, on my bike ride, I rode like the wind! Whooooosh.
(My legs feel like rubber, but my heart feels like I pumped new air into it.)
